Rock and (or) Roll

I had the day off Sunday, so I took a little trip into Lexington and arrived early enough that I was able to make it to church (St. Awesome's - ala Patch). They always do the coolest message series during the summer for some reason... I think the teaching and creative arts teams get together and say, "Let's see... Scott is going to be out of town starting at the end of April... THAT's when we shall do the coolest message series of the year!"

This summer is no exception.

Finding Faith in Rock n Roll is the name of the series, and the service was incredible! They started out with "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" by Pat Benatar... and it was awesome. The whole service just had an amazing energy about it. One of those days you just really love to be at church... it also marked the very first time I've actually sat in the congregation since the new building opened. I've either been out of town, or helping run the services. I loved every minute of it. It was such a rush and a definite needed resupply of energy.

In other news - the tour is going well... we've hit a few snags and... well, if you want the whole story, I'll tell you in person some time. The people I'm working with are terrific, though. Wade McGowan, Elizabeth Kenseck, and Jasmine Osborne... I've worked some with both Wade and Jasmine, but Elizabeth is new. They're all really cool and a lot of fun to be around.
