T.J. Hooker? Captain Kirk?

I must admit, a couple of my guilty pleasures are The Discovery Channel, and the History Channel. Except for prime-time, my T.V. practically stays on these two channels. A couple of my favorite programs are Modern Marvels, Extreme Engineering, Mail Call, Mythbusters, and anything that shows off technology of any kind.

The past week on the History Channel, there have been ads for a special called, "How William Shatner Changed the World". The commercial has good ol' Shatner driving in a convertable spouting off words like "iPod, Blog, and Google"... and then he takes credit for them.

I must admit that I am quite intrigued at the notion of this. If nothing else, it should be good for a laugh or two.

The program airs Sunday @ 8:00pm on the History Channel.

I hate Star Treck, but thanks to TJ Hooker, Boston Legal, and Ben Folds I love William Shatner in a very unclean way.

Oh yeah - my guess is that the show is going to center around how things that showed up in Star Treck have started showing up in our own techonolgy. Let me know if I end up being right or not.

You are exactly right. Scottie and I watched it last night.

It ended up being pretty much what you thought, Patch. It was sort of interesting... and sort of not.

It was basically how Star Trek inspired people to create the technology or something similar that was seen on the show.

One such product was mobile phones. The guy who invented the cell phone was inspired by the communicators they used on the show.

Okay, now tell me who smart I am. Say I'm a genius. Say it. Saaaaay it.

it'd be easier to tell you "who smart you are" if you knew how to spell. ;)
